For many of the parenting skills we use, it is only necessary to look to our own upbringing for guidance. However, the rapid growth in technology is unique to our generation of parental responsibility. The digital environment kids live in is foreign to most parents, even the techno-savvy ones. The Digital Parenting Seminar is aimed at education parents about the emerging issues facing their children and providing a discussion of what our responsibilities are, as parent, in our children's digital lives.
The primary goal of this three hour seminar is to cover the ethics, practice, and role of modern parenting. We will also cover the basic how-to of setting up parental controls on the current Windows and Mac OS. The final segment of the seminar will be an open discussion about the individual challenges you are currently facing with your children and, as a group, we will strategize on realistic solutions.
